San José State Athletics announced today a groundbreaking $4 million philanthropic commitment to the men’s basketball program, representing the most significant philanthropic investment in program history. The transformational commitment will directly support player retention, talent acquisition, and critical operational needs, while helping position Spartan men’s basketball for sustained success in the Mountain West Conference.

🔼 Victory! The baseball team started its series against Fresno State on Thursday. The Spartans won 12-5 in eight innings. Jake McCoy, ,JC Osorio-Agard and Rohne Klein all hit homers. Five Spartans had two hits each. David Thomas earned the win on the mound after pitching 6.0 innings and striking out one batter.

🔼 Day 1. The track and field team competed in the first day of the Mountain West Championships. The Spartans secured multiple qualifiers for Saturday’s finals. Sharli’e McCuller led the way by winning her heat and placing fourth overall in the women’s 200m dash prelims. Nathaniel Guillory placed second in his heat in the men's 200m dash prelim  with a time of 21.35 and placed sixth overall, qualifying him for the finals on Saturday.

Golf Conference Honors. The women’s golf team had two players earn All-Mountain West Second Team honors.
