📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Theo, Texas Ranger. Spartan baseball shortstop Theo Hardy signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Texas Rangers! He leaves San José State with 127 runs, 87 RBIs, and 166 hits. He was a 2023 Mountain West Champion, 2023 All-Mountain West First Team, and 2022 Mountain West All-Tournament selection. Last season, he led the Spartans with 59 runs.

🔼 Softball & Studies. The Spartan softball team had an impressive nine student-athletes earn 2023-24 Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete honors! Carly Cummings, Taylor Chillingworth, Ava Conti, Lacie Ham, Malia Luna, Shay McDowell, Haley Reeve, Mia Reynolds, and Aubrie Thomas all maintained a 3.50 GPA or better to earn the awards.

🔼 Academic Aces. The women’s water polo team had eight student-athletes named to the MPSF’s 6-8 Sports All-Academic Scholar-Athlete team. Ivanna Anderson-Villela, Renee Fleming, Catie Kelly, Ryann Lucchesi, Lucy Miszewski, Maiken Pardon, Sinia Plotz, and Grace Smith each earned the honors. Sinia was also named to the CSC Women’s At-Large Academic All-District team.

🔼 Speedy & Smart. Four Spartan track & field student-athletes earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors! Emilia Sjöstrand, Eve Divinity, Alyssa Bean, and Cameron Tarver produced a 3.25 GPA or higher to earn the honors. Additionally, the women’s team was named 2024 All-Academic as a group.
