🔼  Meet The Staff. New San José State football head coach Ken Niumatalolo announced the first two coaches to join his staff.

  • Craig Stutzmann was named the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. He expects to bring the Spread-N-Shred offense that he invented to the Spartans. He was Texas State’s wide receivers coach last year, where they broke the program’s single-season record for passing yards.

  • Kevin McGiven was named the passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach. He’s been with the Spartans for six seasons and spent last year as the offensive coordinator.

🔼 Another Week Of Winning. The Spartans gymnastics team had more conference awards coming in this week! Jaudai Lopes was named the Mountain West Co-Vault Specialist of the Week and Mia Nelson earned Floor Specialist of the Week and Co-Freshman of the Week. Jaudai scored a season-best 9.900 on vault at the Boise State Quad over the weekend. Mia scored the team’s highest individual score of the season with a 9.925 on floor.

🔼 Tennis Time. After a day-long rain delay, the women’s tennis team got the 6-1 win over UC Riverside yesterday! Freshmen Cheuk Ying Shek and Duru Durgun won their singles and doubles matches. The Spartans won five singles matches in straight sets. Three doubles duos earned the doubles point.

🔼 We’re Back. After more than a week off, the men’s basketball team is back in action tonight! The Spartans will host No. 25 New Mexico at 8 pm at the Provident Credit Union Events Center. The Lobos are riding a three-game winning streak, with two of those teams being ranked in the top-25. San José State hasn’t seen the court since the trip to Fresno State. If you’ll be watching from home, you can watch live on CBS Sports Network.
