Good morning! The Spartans had a successful week on the golf course and the diamond, we’ll recap the wins and prepare you for the weekend. Plus, it’s Saturday is Senior Day for the beach volleyball and women’s water polo teams and Sunday is Senior Day for women’s tennis!

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Kajsa’s Championship. What a memorable couple of weeks for Spartan women’s golfer Kajsa Arwefjäll! She finished last weekend in 26th-place at the Augusta Women’s National Amateur, and turned around to win the Chevron Silverado Showdown this week. She shot 2-under 70 in the final round to tie for first-place individually. Her performance earned her Mountain West Women’s Golfer of the Week. The Spartans finished fourth overall as a team after posting the second-lowest score of the third round.

🔼 Perfect At The Plate. Spartan softball got a big midweek run-rule win at Pacific, taking down the Tigers 9-1. Aubrie Thomas and Reina Zermeno were perfect at the plate, going 2-for-2 and 3-for-3 respectively. All nine runs were scored in the first two innings. Mia Reynolds got the win in the circle after giving up just one run. The Spartans are home this weekend, hosting San Diego State tonight at 6 pm. The series can be streamed on the Mountain West Network.

🔼  Senior Send-Off. The women’s tennis team is home for the last two games at the Spartan Tennis Complex of the season. They’ll host UNLV today and Utah State on Sunday, both matches will begin at noon. Four seniors will be honored after Sunday’s match — Jovana Babic, Carolina Millan, Irena Muradyan, and Rozalina Youseva. Hear from Coach Skorupka before teh weekend begins!

🔼 Sand Finale. The San José State beach volleyball team hosts their final duals of the season this Saturday at Spartan Beach. The Spartans host Santa Clara at 11 a.m. and San Francisco at 3 p.m. We will also be honoring our seniors after they play their final matches at Spartan Beach.

🔼 On The Road, Again. Baseball is on the road again, this time to Nevada. The Spartans played two games at No. 1 Arkansas this week, and Matt Spear made himself right at home. He hit a home run in both games in Arkansas. The last time the Spartans played in the conference, they swept San Diego State. They’ll take on the Wolf Pack at 6:05 pm tonight.
