Good morning! It’s a bye week on the gridiron, but there’s still plenty going on around San José! You’ll have a chance to get a look at the men’s basketball team on Sunday — but first, check out the new basketball court!

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Dare Darae. Women’s golfer Darae Chung was named the Mountain West Freshman Women’s Golfer of the Month for October! She averaged 71.83 strokes in tournaments loaded with nationally ranked competition. She earned her first career top-10 finish at the Illini Women’s Collegiate. The Spartans had a solid month of October, finishing fourth at the Illini Women’s Collegiate in a 15-team field that included 12 top-50 teams.

🔼 Tourney Time. The men’s soccer team is set to compete in the WAC Tournament in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday. They secured the 6-seed and will play No. 3 Utah Tech at 4pm. If you aren’t making the tournament, you can tune in on ESPN+. This is the seventh-straight appearance for the Spartans in the tournament.

🔼 Bringing Back The Legacy. The Spartans are adding a home game against Stanford on Thanksgiving weekend in 2024 to the non-conference football schedule! The Bill Walsh Legacy Game series will now have six future meetings, three at CEFCU Stadium. The game was last played in 2013.

🔼 Dress Rehearsal. Get a first look at the 2023-24 Spartans men’s basketball team on Saturday! They’ll host Cal State East Bay in an exhibition match at 4pm. They’ll get the season officially started next week when they host UC Irvine on November 7. Check out the behind-the-scenes of their intro video shoot.
