📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Top Of The Mountain. There’s no doubt that San José State has been one of the most successful athletic departments in the Mountain West. The 2022-23 season has seen four Mountain West Championships, two each in women’s soccer and baseball. Other achievements include a 20-win basketball season, a second bowl game in three seasons, an NCAA Regional baseball berth, a top-20 national finish for women’s golf plus an individual runner-up finish, and a second-place Mountain West finish in volleyball.

🔼 Fought Hard. The men’s water polo team made it to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament before losing to No. 1 USC. Mark Kis recorded a hat trick with three points on the board. At the end of the first quarter, the game was tied at 3-3. Bence Szabo drew five exclusions to give multiple power play opportunities. Brendon Gyapjas continued his solid season with eight saves. The Spartans won the first-ever WCC Championship, with Brendon earning WCC All-Tournament MVP.

🔼 Career Day. A handful of Spartans had career-highs at Montana on Saturday. William Humer tied his high of 11 points to lead the team. Rickey Mitchell Jr. had a career-high eight points and led the team with two three-pointers. He also added a career-high of two steals. Alvaro Cardenas led the game with five assists. Latrell Davis scored nine points in two minutes during the second half. They’ll be back in action at North Dakota State tonight at 5pm on the Summit League Network. The Spartans defeated the Bison one week ago.

🔼  Headed To Hawai’i. We have everything you need to know about the Spartans trip to the 2023 EasyPost Hawai’i Bowl against Coastal Carolina! The game will air on ESPN at 7:30pm on December 23 from the T.C. Ching Athletics Complex at the University of Hawai’i at Mãnoa campus.
