Good morning! We’ve had a busy weekend full of Spartan athletics, so let’s dive right in!

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Chevan’s Milestone. The Spartans came just short of the win at Toledo, taking a 21-17 loss. Quarterback Chevan Cordeiro passed 10,000 career passing yards on the first play of the game! The scoring started with a 37-yard field goal from Kyler Halvorsen to take the Spartan lead. Soon after, Chevan threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Dominick Mazotti. Kairee Robinson scored on a 15-yard rush to put San José up, 17-7. Toledo came back with two more touchdowns to get the win. The Spartans will be back at home on Friday to take on Air Force in the Mountain West opener.

🔼  Dominated The Weekend. Friday and Saturday called for wins at the USF Challenge to wrap up the volleyball non-conference schedule. The Spartans swept CSUN on Friday and took down UTRGV on Saturday in 5 sets. They finish non-con play with a 9-4 record and start conference play on Thursday at UNLV. Check out what Coach Kress had to say about the last 10 days!

🔼 State Side. The men’s golf team is back in the U.S. after a tournament in Japan. They’re teeing off at the Husky Invitational in Washington today and tomorrow. Everyone will get some tournament experience between individual and team play. The field will include Washington, Colorado State, Oregon, Oklahoma, California, UCLA, Utah, and more talented teams.
