Good morning! The football team is getting ready to head to Boise State this weekend. Check out what they’ve been up to in practice!

What else are we pouring into today’s Brew?

🏐 Double trouble
🏀 Schedule drop
⚔️ And much, much more!

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Double Trouble. Not one, but two Spartans earned Mountain West Weekly Volleyball honors! Alessia Buffagni was named Defensive Player of the Week and Nayeli Ti’a was named Freshman of the Week! Alessia averaged 4.25 digs per set and 1.63 assists per set last week. She also recorded her first collegiate double-double against Fresno State. Nayeli averaged 2.88 kills per set, 1.25 digs per set, and 3.38 points per set. Check out some of their highlights! The team will be back on the court tomorrow at 5:30pm at Wyoming.

🔼 Top-15 Takedown. The men’s water polo team took down No. 12 UC Santa Barbara on Sunday! Mark Kis scored three goals and drew two exclusions to lead the way in the 12-6 win. Also adding onto the scoreboard was Nikola Nikolic, Gal Haimovich, Maro Tiozzo, Erik Duesund, and Mateja Bosic.

🔼 Double Feature. There’s a Spartan double feature tomorrow night on the pitch! The men’s soccer team will take on UNLV at their place while the women’s team will host Wyoming. Both games start at 7pm. The women’s team blanked UNLV, 3-0, last week, so hopefully we can see the guys do the same!

🔼  Going On Tour. Former Spartan women’s golfer Natasha Andrea Oon earned her 2024 LPGA Tour Card last week after winning the Epson Tour’s 2023 Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout. She’ll finish her season on the Epson Tour this weekend at the Tour Championship. She’s had seven top-10 finishes this season, including four second-place finishes. At San José State, she was the 2022 Mountain West Player of the Year, Mountain West Individual Champion, ANNIKA Award Finalist, and NCAA Championships Individual Runner-Up.

🔼 Pencil Us In. The 2023-24 men’s basketball schedule is here! The Spartans will have 11 Mountain West games on CBS Sports or FS1, a record number of nationally televised games for the squad. All games that are not on CBS Sports or FS1 will be streamed on the Mountain West Network. There have been six changed dates, so be sure to double check your calendar. Things will tip off in one month with an exhibition game against Cal State East Bay on November 4.
