🔼 Feelin’ 22. Spartan safety Tre Jenkins has been catching eyes all summer. Just a few weeks ago, he was named to the Shrine Bowl 1000 list. He is also on the Preseason Athlon Sports All-Mountain West Defense and Phil Steele’s 2023 Preseason Mountain West Team. Now, he has been named to the 2023 Wuerffel Trophy watch list, one of the most meaningful awards in collegiate sports. The trophy is college football’s premier award for community service. In 2022, Tre was a Campbell Trophy Semifinalist and All-Mountain West Honorable Mention.

Hey! There are also just 22 days until kick-off at USC. Get ready Spartan fans!

🔼 Old Stomping Grounds. San José State basketball and head coach Tim Miles are heading to his old stomping grounds, North Dakota State. The Spartans will have a home and home series with the Bison this season. The Spartans will host NDSU on November 27 and travel to North Dakota on December 4. Coach Miles was North Dakota State’s head coach from 2001 to 2007, guiding the team through pivotal years.

Stars, Stripes, & Sprints. Spartan sprinter Cameron Tarver has a busy weekend ahead representing the USA at the U20 Pan American Games. He will compete in the 100m dash on Friday, the 4×100 relay on Saturday, and the 200m dash on Sunday. He won the 200m at the Indoor Mountain West Championships and the outdoor 4×100 relay in 2023.
