🔼 Flipping The Script. San José State finished in the top-100 of the LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup scoring 176.30 points—the highest finish in 27 years. The athletic department brought home Mountain West championships in baseball and women’s soccer, women’s golf earned a top-16 finish at the NCAA Championships, and Emilia Sjostrand became the first woman to earn NCAA Indoor All-American honors for the Spartans in track and field. What an amazing athletic season it was!

🔼 Meet The Spartans. Join us as we meet the newest Spartans before the men’s basketball season tips off. Today, meet Rickey Mitchell Jr., a 6’4 guard from Colorado. The freshman led the 6A class in scoring with 26 points-per-game and he also made the Denver Post All-Colorado men’s basketball team.

In case you missed it, we’re here to remind you! Charles McAdoo was drafted in the 13th round of the MLB Draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates last week. He’s the sixth player under Coach Sanfilippo to be drafted. Charles was named to 4 separate All-American/All-Region teams, 2 All-Conference honors, and made the NCAA Stanford All-Regional Team when he hit two homers in their regional in 2023. He finishes his Spartan career with a .325 batting average and 24 home runs, third most in the San José history books.
