What do San Francisco 49ers player Fred Warner and the San José State Women's Swimming and Diving team have in common? Both are trained in the pool by Sage Hopkins. Tune into ESPN Monday Night Countdown, prior to the 49ers game versus Washington, to see why ESPN was at the SRAC last week interviewing Hopkins and Spartan swimmers.

🔼 Got the Dub! The Football team beat UTEP 24-11 on Saturday. Viliami Teu and Carson Clark each surpassed 100 yards. Teu recorded two touchdowns and Clark had one. Quarterback Daniel Rolovich went 12-for-23 with 193 yards and one touchdown. Jayland McGlothen led the Spartans with 3.5 sacks, while Dylan Lee added a pair of sacks and a team-high 12 tackles.

🔼 Victory! The Women’s Volleyball team beat UC Davis 3-2 on Saturday. Lolo Fonua led the team with 15 kills. Morgan Graves followed with 11 kills and Naima Foster had 10. Hanna Darvas recorded her third double-double of the season with 22 assists and 10 digs.

🔼 Swimmin’. The Women’s Swim and Dive team competed in the Gary Ota Memorial Invite this past weekend. On day one, Lillie Grover secured a silver finish in the 100 butterfly. The 800 free relay team took third place. Vilma Lindberg finished third in the 100 breast. On day two, the Spartans had eight top-10 finishes. Mia Colyer and Lindberg each had third place finishes.

🔼 Two Goals. The Men’s Soccer team beat UNLV 2-1 on Sunday. The Spartans had five shots and five shots on goal. Fernando Duarte and Isac Enriquez each scored. This was Duarte’s second goal of the season and Enriquez’s third. Goalkeeper Ronin Axelson recorded three saves.

🔼 Conference Dub. The No. 16 Men’s Water Polo team beat No. 13 Pepperdine on Sunday. The Spartans won 16-13, marking their first conference win of the season. Samu Biros led the team with five goals. Louis Fehrensen recorded a hat trick.

Run It. The Cross Country team competed at the Santa Clara Bronco Invite this past weekend.

Will Bujake led the men with a ##th place finish in the 8k with a new PR.
