🔼 Schedule Update! The football team will open the 2026 season with a “Week Zero” mashup at USC on August 29. The 2026 campaign marks a significant milestone for the program, featuring the Spartans’ first 13-game regular season since 2017. Additionally, San José State will host seven home games at CEFCU Stadium—marking only the second time in the last three seasons, and just the second time since 2006, that the program has reached that number of home dates.

🔼 HOF. San José State track and field icon John Carlos has been named as an inductee into the Collegiate Athlete Hall of Fame by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Carlos was on the 1969 team, which made it to the NCAA Team Championship. In 1969, Carlos equaled the world record in the 100-yard dash with a blistering time of 9.1 seconds.

🔼 Comeback. The women’s tennis team beat UC Davis 4-3 on Thursday. Soledad Fayos Capilla clinched the deciding point in a grueling three-set thriller. The Spartans were behind 1-0 after the Aggies swept all three doubles matches. SJSU won four singles matches to secure the win.

🔼 Game Suspended. The baseball team took Saint Mary’s into 13 innings on Thursday. The game was suspended due to darkness with the score tied 4-4. The game will resume on Friday at 12:30pm.

Triple Threat. The swim and dive team had three Spartans earn All-Mountain West honors.
