Spartan Brew 2/2: Gymnastics Wins Tri-Meet
The gymnastics team won its tri-meet on Sunday.

Good Morning, Spartans. We had a packed Provident Credit Union Event Center at the men’s basketball game on Saturday! There was a crowd of 4,189, one of the largest in school history. Thank you to all the fans that supported the Spartans!

🔼 Home Win. The gymnastics team won its tri-meet against Southern Utah and Texas Women’s on Sunday. The Spartans scored a season-high 195.900. Kaviana Jurries won her third consecutive vault title. Sophie Patterson won her first vault title. Genesis PeBenito won her first beam event title.

🔼 Shutout! The women’s tennis team beat Dominican University 7-0 on Friday. Soledad Fayos Capilla shut out her opponents in doubles and won her singles matches.

🔼 Senior Day. The women’s swim and dive team won five races at the SRAC on Saturday. Ela Freiman swam her fastest 200 butterfly. Her 1:58.47 time is a career-best and the second-fastest time in school history. Five Spartan seniors were honored before their final meet at the SRAC – Mya Azzopardi, Luna Balbuena, Andreea Dragoi, Laise Silva and Freiman. The Spartans also competed in the Air Force Diving Invitational. Madeline Kwok was the top performer in the 1-meter and platform events.

🔼 Got the Win. The women’s water polo team beat Cal State Monterey Bay 15-4 on Saturday. Darcy Spark scored seven times. Bridget Cranley scored three goals. Goalie Tatianna Raffin made six saves.
