📈 STOCK UP

🔼 She’s The Spark. The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation named Spartan Darcy Spark the women’s water polo Newcomer of the Week! The New Zealand native recorded four goals, two steals, and one drawn exclusion against No. 3 USC on Sunday. She leads the Spartan with 39 goals this season. The Spartans will host Indiana on Saturday at 1 pm.

🔼 Midweek Matchup. The Spartan softball team is headed to Pacific for a midweek non-conference game. Reina Zermeno’s bat was on fire against Nevada on Sunday, she went 2-for-2 with a home run and two runs scored. She leads the team in most offensive categories. Aneesa Almaguer has also been a big hitter, she’s riding a three-game hit streak. First pitch is set for 4 pm and you can stream on ESPN+.

🔼  Top Of The Board. Women’s golfer Kajsa Arwefjäll returned from Augusta ready to rock. She sits tied for first-place at the Chevron Silverado Showdown after two rounds. She shot a 6-under 66 to move up 24 spots yesterday. As a team, the Spartans sit in fifth-place at 13-under 589. The final round will take place today starting at 8:30 am.

🔼 Fear The Spear. Spartan baseball had an impressive outing at top-ranked Arkansas last night. Matt Spear got things started with a solo home run in the second inning to put the Spartans up 1-0. Keaton Chase recorded a career-high seven strikeouts through 4.2 innings. The solo shot was all she wrote scoring wise for San José State, as they fell 5-1. They’ll play again today at 11 am on SEC Network+.

The Western Intercollegiate, one of the premiere college golf tournaments in the country, is back for its 77th edition, April 15-17, at Pasatiempo Golf Club in Santa Cruz. Six of the top 10 golfers in the world are Western Alum, including #1 Scott Scheffler. 

There are numerous volunteer opportunities, including:

• Event Staff / Operations Crew
