📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Top Of The Order. The Spartan baseball team was selected to finish at the top of the Mountain West by the conference coaches! Four Spartans were named Preseason All-Mountain West — Hunter Dorraugh, Robert Hamchuk, Theo Hardy, and Mickey Thompson. The Spartans have the most All-Conference picks in the Mountain West. They’ll get the season started next weekend at UC San Diego.

🔼  Start Swingin’. Spartan softball season is finally here! They’re opening the year at the NorCal Kickoff, hosted by UC Davis and Sacramento State. They’ll play five games over the weekend to kick things off. Today, they’ll take on Cal Poly and Sac State. They’ll play Saint Mary’s and UC Davis tomorrow, and Middle Tennessee State on Sunday. Last season, the Spartans made it to the Mountain West Championship game.

🔼 Battle Of The Undefeated. The undefeated women’s tennis team is taking on undefeated Cal Poly today at the Spartan Tennis Complex. Carolina Millan and Cheuk Ying Shek were named Mountain West Player and Freshman of the Week after two wins last weekend. First serve is set for noon today.

🔼 On The Right Path. Men’s golfer Kris Stiles was named the 2024 Pathway Player for the Collegiate Showcase at the Genesis Invitational on February 12! The invitation is awarded to a collegiate golfer of minority background who has excelled on the course and in the classroom. He’ll earn an exemption to the Genesis Scottish Open in July.

👕 SPARTAN CAREER CLOSET

Spartan Athletics has partnered with Kaiser Permanente to host a professional clothing drive that supports the on-campus Spartan Career Closet. 

From now until the middle of March, fans are encouraged to donate new or gently used professional clothes at any Men’s or Women’s basketball game or gymnastics meet. Donation bins will be visible at the entrance to Provident Credit Union Event Center to collect your donations. 

An alternate method of donation is to purchase items directly from the Spartan Career closet’s Amazon wishlist. All purchases will be sent directly to the Spartan Career Closet.
