🔼  She Does It All. The Mountain West Softball Player of the Week is our very own Reina Zermeno! She held a .533 batting average over the weekend with eight hits, six RBIs, six runs scored, four doubles, and a home run. She scored all of the runs for the Spartans on Sunday. She currently ranks second in the Mountain West with a .462 batting average.

🔼 New, New. Women’s water polo player Grace Smith was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Newcomer of the Week! She recorded 11 saves and two steals to help the Spartans beat No. 13 UCSB in double-overtime over the weekend. She also tallied two saves, a steal, and an assists against No. 3 Stanford. This is her first MPSF weekly award.

🔼 Out Of The Park. Home runs came with ease in the Spartans’ 10-8 midweek win at Saint Mary’s yesterday! The baseball team came out firing on all cylinders. Dalton Bowling hit a three-run homer in the top of the first inning. He now sits at second on the all-time home run list with 27 career homers. Robert Hamchuk joined the home run party in the sixth inning, followed by a Theo Hardy homer in the next at-bat. Theo went deep twice in the win. Tyler Albanese earned the win on the mound.

🔼 That’s A Wrap. Join us for the final game of the regular men’s basketball season! The Spartans will host No. 22 Utah State tonight at 6:30 pm. It’s also Alumni Night and SJSU alum can enjoy some discounted tickets to celebrate. If you’re staying home, you can tune in on CBS Sports Network and KTRB 860 AM.

The Western Intercollegiate, one of the premiere college golf tournaments in the country, is back for its 77th edition, April 15-17, at Pasatiempo Golf Club in Santa Cruz. Six of the top 10 golfers in the world are Western Alum, including #1 Scott Scheffler. 

There are numerous volunteer opportunities, including:

• Spotter for Golf Channel

• Event Staff / Operations Crew
