📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Mountain West Madness. The Spartans are headed to UNLV on Saturday and are looking for a share of the regular season conference title. They have a chance to lock in a spot in the Mountain West Championship game for the second time in school history. If the Spartans win, there’s a three-way tie at 6-2 between UNLV, SJSU, and the winner of Air Force and Boise State. Computers would take the two highest-ranked teams of the three and send them to the championship game. Kickoff is at 12pm on Saturday and you can tune in on the Mountain West Network!

🎉 If you’re making the trip to Las Vegas, swing by the Alumni Tailgate! There will be food, drinks, and fun from 10am-12pm.

🔼  Let’s Dance. The men’s water polo team is going dancing! The Spartans are one of eight teams competing in the 2023 NCAA Men’s Water Polo Championship. No. 3 USC will host the championships from December 1-3. The Spartans earned the 6-seed and will open the tournament against USC on December 1 at 6pm. The first-round games and semifinals will stream on NCAA.com while the championship will air on ESPNU.

🔼  Winning Record In Paradise. The men’s basketball team went 2-1 at Paradise Jam with wins over Norfolk State and Hampton. The scores were similar, 77-53 versus Norfolk State and 71-52 versus Hampton. Myron Amey Jr. was selected to the 2023 Paradise Jam All-Tournament Team by staff and media members! He averaged 16 points per game along with 4.67 assists and 2 steals. He led the tournament with 14 total assists.

🔼 Conference Love. Women’s basketball player Jyah Lovett was named Mountain West Freshman of the Week for the first time in her career. She had two great games on the road against Montana State and Loyola Marymount last week. She scored 16 points against Montana State and 17 against Loyola Marymount. She also had five steals and six assists across the two games. She’s currently the squad’s leading scorer, averaging 12.4 points per game.
