🔼 Man of the Year. Football player Naseri Danielson was named to the 10th annual Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Watch List. The national honor recognizes 80 of college football’s top leaders who exhibit exceptional leadership, courage, integrity, and sportsmanship both on and off the field. Danielson, a Stockton, California, native, stands among an elite group of student-athletes nominated by their respective institutions for their impact in the classroom, in the community, and on gridirons across the country.

🔼 New Spartan. The men’s basketball team welcomes Mekhi Mason to the 2026-27 roster. Mason is a 6’4” guard transfer from Wake Forest. Last season, he appeared in 34 games with 12 starts. He averaged 7.4 points per game and connected on 46 three-pointer attempts, the third most on the team. Mason reached double-figures in scoring nine times.

🔼 Top 10. The women’s golf team finished in sixth place at the Leadership and Golf Invitational. SJSU had a final score of 880 (+16). Moa Andersson led the team with a score of 215 (-1). She finished in ninth place individually. Regina Roldan followed tied for 13th with a score of 218 (+2).

🔼 Hole-In-One! Men’s golfer Joey Allan hit his first collegiate hole-in-one on the last round of the Vuori Invitational. SJSU finished in 12th place with a score of 899. Dominic Lucchesi tied for 31st place individually with a score of 221 (+8).

Saturday’s Game. The football team takes on Fresno State at home on Saturday.
