⚔️ And more!

🔼 On TV. The men’s basketball team will have seven national television broadcasts during the 2026-27 season. The Spartans will feature six games televised by FS1 and one game by the CW. SJSU’s seven nationally televised games are the most for the program since the 2023-24 season. All conference games and non-conference home games not selected by CBS, FOX or the CW will be shown on MW+. Game times and local broadcast information for all remaining games will be announced at a later date.

🔼 Season Opener. The football team announced the 2027 season opener game will be against Sacred Heart University. The Spartans will host the Pioneers on Thursday, August 26, 2027, at CEFCU Stadium. The matchup marks the first-ever meeting between San José State and Sacred Heart on the gridiron.

🔼 Victory! The volleyball team beat Wyoming 3-1 in its Mountain West home opener on Thursday. Devon DeNecochea led the team with a season-high 14 kills. Ava Hewitt-Smith led the blocking attack with seven. Hannah Darvas had a double-double with 21 assists and 11 digs. Fatimah Hall also had a double-double with 22 assists and 12 digs.

🔼 Day One. The women’s tennis team competed in day one of Battle of the Bay on Thursday. Emma Fantousis and Soledad Fayos Capilla won in doubles.
