Spartan Brew 11/14: Men's Soccer Advances to the Championships

The men's soccer team will play Grand Canyon in the WAC Championships.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Advancing! The men’s soccer team beat California Baptist 3-2 in overtime in the WAC semifinal game. Dane Pendleton, Arnold Matshazi and Angel Iniguez scored for the Spartans. The men had 17 shots, and six were on goal. Goalkeeper Edgar Guerra had four saves. This is the third time in the last four years that the Spartans have advanced to the WAC Tournament. The men will play Grand Canyon on Saturday at 1pm PT in the championship game.

🔼 Victory! The volleyball team beat Boise State 3-1 on Thursday. Tatiana Robinson led the team with 12 kills. Learden Lee was so close to a double-double with 11 kills and seven blocks. Don’t miss this Saturday’s final home match of the season, where we will be celebrating seniors Alyssa Bjork and Randilyn Reeves.

🔼 A Star. The men’s basketball team signed four-star prospect Rokiem Green to the 2026-27 roster. Green is a 6’3” guard from CIA Bella Vista Prep. He is ranked as the No. 10 prospect in Arizona in his class on ESPN.

🔼 Incoming Duo. The gymnastics team signed two athletes to the 2026—27 roster. Allanah Portalatin is from Pennsylvania. She is a two-time Puerto Rico national team member and trains at Parkettes National Gymnastics Center. Meling Esperanza is from Martinez, Calif. She trains at North Bay Gymnastics and competed in the 2025 DEV National Championships.

🔼 New Spartans. The women’s soccer team signed six new players to the 2026-27 roster. Abby Peterman, Fana-Sally Ndiaye, Myanne Fernandes, Myriam Lawrence, Nicole Moita de Deus and Tatiana Musgrove will be Spartans next season. There are four forwards, one goalkeeper and one defender.

🔼 The Diamond Grows. The softball team signed four athletes to its 2026-27 roster. Chloe Kendall Solis, Isabella Elena Ricce, LaSade Rose Conti and Carlyn Patricia Snyder are joining the program. There is one pitcher, one catcher, a utility player and an infielder.
