🔼 No Fly Zone. Spartan cornerback Jay’Vion Cole was named to the Pro Football Focus 2023 All-Mountain West Team! He led Mountain West defenders with an 86.2 rating. He led the team with three interceptions and 10 pass breakups, good for 10th in the country and second in the conference. The Spartans pass defense was second in the conference and 14th in the nation, only letting up 181.7 yards per game.

🔼 High Scores For Some. Six Spartans scored in double figures in yesterday’s men’s basketball game against Montana. Myron Amey Jr. led the team with 15 points and tied his season-high with three steals. Tibet Görener scored 13 and went 3-for-6 from beyond the arc. He’s now fourth all-time for most career three-pointers made by a Spartan. Latrell Davis scored 12 points and grabbed a career-high six rebounds. William Humer tied his career-high, scoring 11 points. They’ll be back in action on Wednesday as Santa Clara comes to town.

🔼 Back From Break. The women’s basketball team is finally back in action after a two week break! They’re on the road at Cal State Northridge today at 12 pm, you can tune in on ESPN+. The Spartans lead the Mountain West in offensive rebound percentage and sit fourth in scoring defense, assists, and steals.

The football team had some visitors at practice to recognize the team and All-Conference honorees! President Matson, assembly member Ash Kalra, and others showed up with some important hardware.
