📈 STOCK UP

🔼 On Repeat. Two Spartans earned Mountain West gymnastics honors this week! Lauren Macpherson was named the Gymnast of the Week and Beam Specialist of the week. She scored a season-best 39.450 in the all-around, which was good for fifth-best in school history. She also won the beam title with a season-high 9.925 score. Jada Mazury was named Co-Floor Specialist of the Week after winning the title with a career-high 9.925.

🔼  Love & Basketball. The men’s basketball team got back in the win column with a 73-66 win at Air Force last night! Myron Amey Jr. led the way with 25 points, while Alvaro Cardenas was close behind with 22. The second half was a big one for the Spartans, as they shot 75% from the field. They’ll come back home to take on Wyoming on Saturday at 7 pm.

🔼 Velo’s Victory. Former Spartan men’s golfer Kevin Velo won the Korn Ferry Tour’s Astara Golf Championship! He set a tournament scoring record of 261 (-22). This is his first win on the Korn Ferry Tour. Kevin played for the Spartans from 2015-16 to 2018-19.

🔼 Two-Game Trip. The women’s basketball team is on a two-game road trip, starting tonight at New Mexico. They’ll take on the Lobos at 6 pm on the Mountain West Network. Afterwards, they’ll head to Fresno State for a rivalry matchup on Saturday.

👕 SPARTAN CAREER CLOSET

Spartan Athletics has partnered with Kaiser Permanente to host a professional clothing drive that supports the on-campus Spartan Career Closet. 

From now until the middle of March, fans are encouraged to donate new or gently used professional clothes at any Men’s or Women’s basketball game or gymnastics meet. Donation bins will be visible at the entrance to Provident Credit Union Event Center to collect your donations. 

An alternate method of donation is to purchase items directly from the Spartan Career closet’s Amazon wishlist. All purchases will be sent directly to the Spartan Career Closet.
