🔼 Open For Business. Can’t wait a few more weeks for some football? Well, you’re in luck! The Spartans opened fall training camp to the public last week. The team practices Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday and you can see the entire schedule here!

🔼 And Here Are The Nominees. The Mountain West released their end of the year award nominees and there are a couple of big Spartans on the list.

🏆 Female Athlete of the Year: Emilia Sjostrand - Women’s Track & Field

🏆 Male Athlete of the Year: Omari Moore - Men’s Basketball

Emilia specializes in jumps and earned Outdoor First Team All-American long jump, Outdoor Second Team All-American triple jump, and Indoor First Team All-American triple jump honors this past season. Omari was the 2023 Mountain West Player of the Year. He averaged 17.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game.

Game Time. A game time announcement means football season is that much closer! The Spartans will host Cal Poly on September 9 at 1:00pm on NBC Sports Bay Area. San José State and Cal Poly haven’t played each other since 2017 when the Spartans won 34-13.
