Spartan Brew 12/10: Overtime Victory for Men's Basketball
The men's basketball team beat Long Beach State 89-83 in overtime.

🔼 Secured the Dub. The men’s basketball team went into overtime against Long Beach State. The teams were tied at halftime 39-39. They finished regulation tied 77-77. The Spartans scored 12 in overtime to win 89-83. Colby Garland led the game with 27 points. Yaphet Moundi was right behind with 18 points. The Spartans shot 55.56% from the field and 45% from behind the arc.
🔼 Top Coach. Wide receivers coach Billy Ray Stutzmann was selected for the 2026 AFCA 35 Under 35 Coaches Leadership Institute. Stutzmann completed his second season with the Spartans and his first as a wide receivers coach. He helped guide the Spartans to the second-best passing offense in the Mountain West and the 14th-ranked passing offense nationally. The prestigious program is designed to identify and develop premier, future leaders in the football coaching profession.
