📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Remembering Yosh. The world lost a Spartan legend recently, Yoshihiro “Yosh” Uchida. He passed away at the age of 104. In 1940, he was named San José State’s first judo coach when he enrolled as a student. He went to serve four years in the U.S. Army before returning to coach in 1946. He coached the U.S. judo team at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. In 2023, Yosh was honored for 75 years of service to San José State. He coached the Spartans to more than 40 collegiate titles and trained nearly two dozen Olympians.

🔼  All-Around Excellent. Three Spartan gymnasts were named to the CSC Academic All-District Team — Lauren Macpherson, Jada Mazury, and Jaudai Lopes. All three student-athletes were excellent in the classroom and on the mat.
