📈 STOCK UP

🔼  Ridin’ High. The gymnastics team got the win over Sacramento State in high-scoring fashion! The Spartans pieced together a 196.500 score, tying for the second-best in school history. Katherine Weyhmiller won the bars and beam titles, while Jaudai Lopes won vault and Jada Mazury won floor with a career-high 9.925. Katherine’s 9.925 bars score was her career-best and the second-highest bars score in school history. Lauren Macpherson won the all-around with a season-high 39.275.

🔼 Ranked Rumble. The 18th-ranked women’s water polo team took down No. 21 CSUN over the weekend! Darcy Spark scored three goals and added an assists to lead the Spartans to the 10-8 win. Grace Smith recorded seven saves in the match. They’ll be back in the pool at the ASU Invitational on February 10.

🔼 Stayed Strong. The women’s tennis team picked up a 5-2 win over Sacramento State in the home opener on Saturday! They took the first four of their five points to lead comfortably. Both doubles teams won their matches and four singles players won as well. They’ll be back on the court on Friday when they host Cal Poly.

🔼  Relay Record. The Spartans had a record-setting weekend on the track at the UNM Indoor Open. The women’s 4×400 relay team of Alyssa Bean, Sarah Mosteller, Savana Dutton, and Aliyah Williams ran a 3:43.24 time to break the school record! Additionally, Emelia Sjostrand won the triple jump in her season debut.

🔼 Start To Spring. The men’s golf team will get their spring season started today through Wednesday at the Southwestern Invitational, hosted by Pepperdine. The tournament includes three top-25 teams. The lineup will include Carl Corpus, Ivan Barahona, Caleb Shetler, Zubair Firdaus, and Xuan Luo. Keshav Mungali will compete as an individual. The Spartans shot an all-time low at the Ka’anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational to end the fall season.
