📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Senior Day Delight. Spartan beach volleyball picked up two wins on Senior Day on Saturday, defeating Santa Clara 4-1 and San Francisco 3-2. It wasn’t the best day to be at the beach with cold and windy weather, but the Spartans got it done. The duo of Jaida Ward and Jada Hall won their matches in both games, along with Cheyenne Rice and Teila Allen. They head to Houston for the Southland Conference Championship on Friday.

🔼 Sunday Funday. The baseball team took down Nevada 6-3 yesterday to close out the weekend series. Matt Spear hit a home run for the second-straight game, he finished the week with four homers. He finished the game with four RBI. Theo Hardy also hit a long shot for his fifth of the year. Ethan Ross was excellent on the mound, striking out eight batters and only allowing two hits.

🔼 Sunday Sweep. Sunday was Senior Day for the women’s tennis team and they celebrated with a 4-0 win over Utah State. Seniors Irena Muradyan, Rozalina Youseva, Jovana Babic, and Carolina Millan each got wins. Rozalina and Duru Durgun clinched the doubles points. They’ll finish the regular season at Fresno State on Thursday.

🔼  Hot-Shot Hurdlers. Three Spartans finished the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational in the top-five in the men’s 110m Hurdles Invite and men’s 110m Hurdles. Malachi Snow won the 110m Hurdles Invite with a 13.33 time and is now ranked the No. 1 hurdler in the country. Demaris Waters took fourth in the event with a 13.40 and ranks No. 7 in the country. Micah Hairston placed second in the men’s 110m hurdles. Emilia Sjostrand came in fifth in the women’s triple jump. At the Chuck Buettner Twilight, Isaiah Gilmore won the men’s 200m dash and Nathan Lau took third in the men’s 800m.
