Good morning! And Happy Monday! We got to see two former Spartans play for the Minnesota Vikings yesterday, and you just can’t beat that. Let’s start the week strong!

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Ti’a Time. The Spartan volleyball team got the 3-1 win over Fresno State over the weekend! Nayeli Ti’a and Letizia Cammillucci had 14 kills each. Nayeli also had two digs and a block and Letizia added two digs and an ace. Brooke Slusser had another double-double, making that her second in-a-row. The Spartans now sit 11-6 overall and head to Wyoming on Thursday.

🔼 Pool Play. The women’s swim and dive team took down Nevada 61-48 at home over the weekend! The 800-yard relay crew of Amelia Snyder, Reka Kovacs, Ela Freiman, and Zsofia Musnay took first place to lead the way. The 200-yard relay team of Lais e Silva, Mya Azzopardi, Reka, and Dalton Sickon also finished in first. Ela recorded a personal best in her 100-yard freestyle split with a 52.57 time. They’ll head to the Chick-fil-A Invitational at Fresno State this weekend.

🔼 Shine Bright. Former Spartan baseball player Charles McAdoo had a solid season in the minor leagues — and by solid, we mean record-breaking. He spent time with the Bradenton Marauders and broke the franchise single game RBI record with 8 and tied the franchise single game hits record with 6. The Marauders are the Single-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, where Charles was drafted in the 13th round of the 2023 MLB Draft.
