🔼 A Cut Above. There’s no better time to be a San José State Spartan than now. Yesterday evening, the ribbon was cut and the Spartan Athletics Center was officially open! Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this project!

🔼 Seeing Double. Quarterback Chevan Cordeiro was named to the 2023 Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award watch list. This is the second watch list he’s been added to, just last week he was announced to the Maxwell Award watch list. The Davey O’Brien Award goes to the nation’s best college quarterback and is the oldest and most prestigious national quarterback award. Athlon Sports also ranked Chevan as the best quarterback in the Mountain West Conference for 2023.

🔼 Show Time. CEFCU Stadium has teamed up with Musco Lighting to produce a new state-of-the-art LED lighting system for games this season. The Spartans will have one of the best gameday experiences in the conference. The field will be brighter and there will be special effects with choreographed light shows! They also reduce energy and maintenance costs by 50-80%.

⚔️ ONE BIG THING

One By One. Single-game tickets for the Spartans’ six home football games at CEFCU Stadium are now on sale! The first home game will be against Oregon State on September 3 at 12:30pm. The first 500 students will receive a gold t-shirt! The other five games will be Cal Poly, Air Force, Utah State, Fresno State, and San Diego State. All students are granted free admission by scanner their Tower Card. Last season, the Spartans went undefeated at home… So you won’t want to miss out!
