📈 STOCK UP

🔼  Turn Up Tuesday. The men’s basketball team got the 71-70 win over New Mexico in a Tuesday night thriller! Latrell Davis scored the game-winner with 2.2 seconds remaining to seal the deal. He finished the night with 11 points and six rebounds. Robert Vaihola led the Spartans with 18 points and nine rebounds. The Spartans snapped the Lobos’ 6-0 Mountain West record.

🔼 Freshman’s First. Spartan gymnast Madison Gustitus has been named the Mountain West Gymnastics Freshman of the Week! She won beam with a 9.850 score at Sacramento State. Her score was the highest by a freshman in the conference this week. She also won floor with a 9.800.

🔼 Fierce In The Field. Spartan track & field’s Emilia Sjostrand was named the Mountain West Women’s Field Athlete of the Week! She took first-place in the women’s triple jump at the Silver and Blue Invitational over the weekend. Her 13.37m mark was an NCAA Championship standard. In addition to her performance in the field, she ran a personal best of 7.70 in the 60m dash prelim.

🔼 Road Trip. The women’s basketball team is on the road tonight! They’ll play at Boise State at 5:30 p.m. on the Mountain West Network. The Spartans are coming off a win over Air Force, their first win in conference play. They’ll look to keep the momentum going tonight against a Boise State team that’s coming off of a loss to Fresno State.
