Good morning, Spartan Fans! Thursday night, the Spartans hosted a special evening, Casino Night, presented by Provident Credit Union. It was a successful night in an effort to raise funds for Spartan Athletics scholarships, while also playing some games and winning some tremendous prizes. Check out the fun!

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Along For The Ride. The men’s basketball team defeated Wyoming 67-58 on Saturday! Latrell Davis scored a career-high 22 points, and Will McClendon recorded his first career double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. This was SJSU’s fourth win all-time against the Cowboys. The Spartans have won three of their last four games.

🔼  Tip Of The Hat. The 17th-ranked women’s water polo team started the weekend with an 11-6 win over California Baptist! Darcy Spark recorded her third-straight hat trick of the season. The Spartans split matches on Saturday as they fell to No. 14 UC San Diego 13-11, then defeated Whittier 23-6. Spark scored six goals in the first game of the day. In the second game, Isabella Adams, Sarah Woren, Bridget Cranley, and Jessica Ross scored at least three goals.

🔼 All-Around Success. The gymnastics team placed second in yesterday’s Spartan Quad with a score of 194.500. Devyn Valuch won the all-around with a score of 38.975 and had the team’s top floor score with a 9.750. Jaudai Lopes scored a season-high 9.850 on vault.

🔼 Academic Warriors. Five Spartan men’s soccer student-athletes earned Academic All-WAC honors — Niklas Dossmann, Gilberto Rivera, Edgar Guerra, Eamon Fakhri, and Kaylob Walker. Dossman and Rivera were also named CSC Academic All-District.
