🔼 Tip Of The Hat. For the fifth time this season, the SJSU men’s water polo program grabbed a win over a top-20 opponent.

Senior Mateja Bosić recorded a hat trick to lead the eighth-ranked Spartans to an 11-8 victory over No. 17 Santa Clara on Saturday afternoon at the SRAC.

In addition to Bosić's three goals, Maro Tiozzo, Mitchell Keightley, Sam Keightley and Samu Biros each delivered two apiece to contribute to the Spartans' offensive front.

🔼 Saturday Sweepin’. The SJSU volleyball program busted out the brooms this weekend, earning a sweep of visiting Fresno State in the program’s annual pink game to honor Breast Cancer Awareness.

Six Spartans recorded five or more kills, led by Morgan Graves with eight, as the Spartans swept Fresno State, 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-12), Saturday afternoon.

After Graves’ eight kills, Fatimah Hall had seven kills, Maraia Buchanan with six, and Sariah Johnson, Ava Hewitt-Smith and Learden Lee with five kills each. Hall added 30 assists, two aces and six digs in the win.

🔼 And Another One. Facing off against one of the nation’s top goal scorers and top offenses, the SJSU men’s soccer squad flexed its defensive muscles, earning a 1-1 draw on the road with Grand Canyon, a team that was receiving votes in last week’s national polls.

Center back Javier Lopez picked a great time for his first career goal for the Spartans. Goalkeeper Ronin Axelson made three saves in his first start of the season. The Spartans limited Grand Canyon’s Junior Diouf, one of the nation’s leading goal scorers, to just one shot and no shots on goal.

SJSU controlled much of the match, finishing with 61% possession, a 13–10 edge in total shots, and a 5–1 advantage in corner kicks.

San José State Football is teaming up with the San Francisco Giants for a one-of-a-kind collab when the Spartans take on conference rival Hawai‘i on Saturday, November 1 — and we’re bringing the Bay Area baseball vibe to the gridiron!

To celebrate, we’re offering a limited-edition Spartans x Giants Aloha Jersey, available exclusively through this Spartans x Giants special event ticket package. This co-branded collectible blends Giants spirit with island flair and Spartan pride, the perfect mashup for fans of both teams.

Each package includes a reserved ticket to the game and the exclusive Aloha Jersey. We’ll also be bringing the Giants energy to CEFCU Stadium with themed pregame and in-game experiences that will make this a night to remember.

Quantities are extremely limited, so don’t miss your chance to score this one-of-a-kind co-branded Aloha shirt and be part of an unforgettable crossover event!

As we mentioned, this past weekend’s win over 17th-ranked Santa Clara was the fifth of the year over a nationally-ranked opponent for SJSU.

How many wins did the Spartans have over nationally-ranked opponents last season?
