🔼 Friday Night Lights. The Spartans return home for the third time this season as SJSU is set to enter a new season with Mountain West play on deck this weekend.

SJSU looks for its fourth straight win over New Mexico and their 11th win over the Lobos in their last 13 games.

🔼 Three Of A Kind. For the first time since 2017, the SJSU women’s soccer team has started conference play with three straight results, earning another point on Thursday night with a 1-1 draw against visiting New Mexico.

Paige Pineda-Aliamus scored her team-leading fourth goal of the season in the second halfway to equal things up.

Goalkeeper Paige Fry tallied six saves on the day, one of which denied a Lobo penalty kick in the first half, her second saved PK of the season.

🔼 They’re Backkkk. With hoops season just over a month away, the SJSU women’s hoops team officially returned to the court for the start of practice heading into the 2025-26 season.

🔼 Among The Elite. When you have a breakout season, you’re going to turn heads.

That’s exactly what SJSU wide receiver Danny Scudero has done so far this season and this week, he was recognized with a spot on the 2025 Biletnikoff Award Watch List, which recognizes college football’s most outstanding FBS receivers.

Scudero is enjoying a breakout season, leading the nation with 128.5 receiving yards per game and ranking fourth nationally and first in the Mountain West with 8.25 receptions per game. Through just four contests, he has recorded 33 catches for 514 yards and three touchdowns.

He follows in the footsteps of San José State legend Nick Nash, who became the program’s first Biletnikoff Award Finalist in 2024 after also earning an in-season addition to the watch list.
