📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Tuned Up. The women’s basketball team had a strong showing in their 81-37 exhibition win over Lincoln! Amiah Simmons led the Spartans with 22 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double. Amira Brown scored 14 points, while Djessira Diawara was right behind her with 13. The Spartans had 22 offensive rebounds which led to 24 second-chance points. They’ll open the regular season on Tuesday.

🔼 Top-Five Finish. The women’s golf team finished fourth at the Nanea Invitational this week! Lucia Lopez Ortega led the team at 3-under, finishing tied for 12th. Nicola Kaminski came in tied for 18th, while Rebecca Gyllner and Moa Andersson tied each other for 20th. This concludes the fall portion of the 2024-25 season. They’ll return to the course in late January.

🔼 Shut ‘Em Out. The men’s soccer team shut out Grand Canyon 3-0 last night. Angel Fernandez, Cameron Cook, and Anthony Guzman all scored in the win. Angel Iniguez recorded a career-high three assists, tying for first in the WAC in assists. The Spartans have recorded five shutouts this season.

🔼  Soaring. The volleyball team defeated Air Force last night, 3-2. Nayeli Ti’a recorded her seventh double-double of the season. The Spartans recorded 12 aces in the match, the third time in four matches they’ve reached double-digits. They’ll host New Mexico tomorrow at noon p.m.
