📈 STOCK UP

🔼 BIG Win. The women’s basketball team won their season opener at Xavier, 55-36. It was the Spartans’ first win over a BIG EAST team in program history. Djessira Diawara and Sydni Summers scored 11 points to lead the Spartans. Jasmine Singleton led the team in rebounds with six. They’ll play at home against California on Saturday.

🔼 First Game Jitters. The men’s basketball team dropped their first game to Western Illinois, 59-55. Will McClendon and Josh Uduje scored 13 points each. Robert Vaihola led the Spartans with seven rebounds and three assists. The Spartans will head to Honolulu, Hawaii to play Pacific on Friday.

🔼  That’s A Wrap. The men’s golf team concluded the fall portion of the 2024-25 season at the Ka’anapali Classic. They finished eighth overall at 27-under. Jed Dy led the Spartans with a 24th-place finish. Keshav Mungali moved up 29 spots in the final round to finish 35th. They’ll return to the golf course in late January.

🔼 October’s Own. Spartan Zubair Firdaus has been named the Mountain West Men’s Golfer of the Month! He set a tournament record when he took the individual trophy at the Alister Mackenzie Invitational. His total score of 190 (-23) is the second-lowest individual 54-hole score for an individual tournament in NCAA men’s golf history.

The Spartans lead the Mountain West in interceptions.
