🔼 Chopped Wood. Spartan football closed out the regular season with a 34-31 win over Stanford! Nick Nash set a new Spartan all-time record for touchdown receptions in a season after scoring two. He has hauled in 16 touchdowns this season. Walker Eget threw for 385 yards and a career-high four touchdowns. It was San José State’s first win against an ACC school.
🔼 Gone Sweepin’. The men’s basketball team swept the Ball Dawgs Classic at Lee’s Family Forum! They defeated Long Beach State 82-66 to close out the week. Donavan Yap scored 18 points with four assists in the win. Josh Uduje was right behind him with 17 points. The Spartans will hit the road to play at New Mexico on Wednesday.
🔼 That’s A Wrap. Spartan volleyball concluded their season in the Mountain West Championship, falling to Colorado State. Jade Epps and Alessia Buffagni were named to the Mountain West All-Tournament Team. The Spartans end the season with a 14-7 overall record.
🔼 On Island Time. The women’s basketball team defeated UMass Lowell 68-67 at the Puerto Rico Clásico on Saturday! Sofia Kelemeni scored a career-high 20 points to go along with four rebounds and three assists. Amira Brown scored a season-high 14 points with five rebounds and three assists. The Spartans return to California to host Saint Mary’s on Wednesday.
