📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Early Impact. Spartan baseball’s Alex Fernandes was named the Mountain West Player of the Week! The Memphis transfer made a big impact at Louisiana over the weekend. He led the Spartans at the plate, going 7-for-9, scoring six runs, four RBIs, and two doubles.
Spartan baseball will host Utah Valley tomorrow at 3:05 p.m.

🔼 Dominated The Field. Women’s track & field athlete Simone Johnson has been named the Mountain West Field Athlete of the Week! She won the triple jump at the Don Kirby Invitational last weekend. She ranked No. 4 in the nation on the NCAA indoor qualifying list for the event. She also finished third in the long jump.

🔼 All-Around Excellent. Gymnast Devyn Valuch has been named the Mountain West All-Arounder of the Week! She won the all-around at Boise State with a score of 38.975 which tied her career-high. She scored a 9.775 on bars and beam.

🔼 Staying Home. The women’s basketball team is home tonight as they host New Mexico at 6 p.m. The Spartans currently rank second in the conference in rebounding margin, offensive rebounds per game, and offensive rebound percentage. Sydni Summers ranks second in three-point field goals made.

🔼 Road Trip. The men’s basketball team hits the road to play at Utah State tonight at 6:30 p.m. on the Mountain West Network. The Spartans are looking for some revenge as they fell to the Aggies earlier this season. San José State is averaging 9.00 threes per game in conference play, good for second in the Mountain West.

🔼 Top-Five Finish. The women’s golf team tied for fifth at the Alice and John Wallace Women’s Golf Classic! The team shot a 299 in the final round. Lucia Lopez Ortega led the team as she tied for 14th at 2-over.
