🔼 Sweep Dreams. Spartan baseball completed a four-game sweep of Utah Valley! They’ve won six in-a-row, their longest win-streak since 2011. Jesse Gutierrez earned his first win of the season on Friday after throwing seven innings with six strikeouts to beat the Wolverines 5-2. Rocco Caballero hit a walk-off single to win on Saturday, 4-3. Zach Chamizo hit a three-run homer to take the lead in Sunday’s 7-5 victory.
The Spartans will host Santa Clara tomorrow at 3:05 p.m.

🔼 Historic Night. The men’s basketball team won at Wyoming for the first time in program history! It was also the first season sweep over Wyoming in SJSU history. They beat the Cowboys 82-73 behind Josh Uduje’s 29 points. It was his 12th 20-point game of the season. The Spartans will host UNLV tomorrow at 7 p.m. on NBC Sports California.

🔼 Winning Ways. The women’s tennis team continued their winning ways with a 4-2 win over CSU Northridge on Saturday. Soledad Fayos Capilla remained undefeated in singles and won her doubles match. They’ll play Santa Clara on Friday at 11 a.m.

🔼 Flyin’ High. Spartan gymnastics recorded some season-highs in their home meet presented by El Camino Hospital! Marissa Ashton tied for first on beam with a season-high 9.900. Devyn Valuch scored a career-high 39.050 in the all-around, plus a career-high on bars. The bars crew scored a season-high 49.925. The Spartans finished the meet with a 195.425 total score.

🔼 Weekend Away. Spartan softball went 2-3 at the famous Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic over the weekend. They picked up wins over Howard and UCSB, while falling to CSUN, No. 15 Nebraska, and Loyola Marymount. Ahmiya Noriega leads the nation with six triples on the season after hitting two against Howard. Aubrie Thomas, Noriega, and Sarah Deplitch all hit home runs on Saturday.
