📈 STOCK UP

🔼  Fell Short. Spartan men’s basketball fell just short in the first round of the NIT. The season ended on Wednesday night in a 73-70 loss to Loyola Chicago. Josh Uduje scored 18, while Donavan Yap scored 16 to lead the Spartans. The Spartan defense didn’t allow the Ramblers to make a field goal in the final 4:45 of the game. It was San José State’s first NIT appearance since 1981.

🔼 Fab Five. Five Spartan gymnasts earned All-Mountain West honors! Devyn Valuch earned first-team honors in the All-Around, Madison Gustitus earned second-team on beam, Madison Kirsch earned second-team on vault, Jaudai Lopes earned second-team on floor, and Katherine Weyhmiller earned second-team on beam. The Spartans will host the Mountain West Championships tomorrow at 2 p.m. Click here to purchase tickets!

🔼  Grand Ol’ Time. Spartan baseball defeated Portland 9-4 on Wednesday! Neil Jansen launched his first career grand slam. Jake McCoy tied his career-high with three hits. Luca Staiano earned the win on the mound with four shutout innings. The Spartans will play their Mountain West home opener this weekend as they host Air Force. First pitch is set for 6:05 p.m.

🔼 Back At Home. Spartan softball returns home this weekend for the Mountain West home opener! They’ll host Colorado State for a three-game series. They’ll get things started tonight at 6 p.m., continue tomorrow at 3 p.m., and conclude the series on Sunday at 11 a.m.
