🔼 Welcome To The Family. San José State has hired Sonia Curvelo as the new women’s soccer head coach! She comes from Sam Houston where she doubled their win total in her third season at the helm and qualified for the Conference USA Tournament. With previous coaching stints at Prairie View A&M, Cleveland State, and Mississippi Valley State, Curvelo has consistently demonstrated success, including leading teams to conference titles and NCAA tournament appearances.

🔼  California Clash. Spartan baseball returns to Mountain West play this weekend. They’ll host Fresno State for a three-game series, starting tonight at 6:05 p.m. All three games will stream on the Mountain West Network. The Spartans are coming off a midweek win over Pacific, while the Bulldogs lost to Sacramento State on Tuesday.

🔼  Shut ‘Em Down. Spartan softball started the series at Fresno State strong! They shut out the Bulldogs 2-0 in game one. Mia Reynolds threw her seventh complete game of the season. Carly Cummings brought in both runs with RBI singles. The series will continue tonight at 6 p.m. on the Mountain West Network.

🔼 Weekend On The Road. The women’s tennis team looks to build on their best start since 2020-21! They’ll play at Air Force today at 10 a.m. before heading to New Mexico for a 10 a.m. match on Sunday. The Spartans are 13-1 overall and 4-0 in conference play so far.
