🔼 New Leadership. San José State has hired Jonas Chatterton as the new women’s basketball head coach! He brings over 24 years of Division I coaching experience, a deep legacy of player development, and a history of success at some of the country’s most competitive programs. He comes to the West Coast after serving as the associate head coach at Oklahoma, who advanced to this year’s Sweet 16. Before that, he was associate head coach at Oregon State. He has coached in 13 NCAA Tournaments, including the 2016 Final Four and 2024 Elite Eight.

🔼 Sticking Around. Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Charles Ryan has signed a multi-year extension! He has led athletes to multiple record-breaking achievements since his arrival in 2021. Spartans have set 17 all-time indoor school records and 10 outdoor records. Six athletes earned All-American honors at 2024’s NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship.

🔼 Back At Home. The Spartan baseball team returns home to host Cal tonight at 6:05 p.m. The game will stream on the Mountain West Network. The Spartans are coming off of a Sunday win over New Mexico.

🔼 Early Start. Spartan softball starts the weekend a day early! They’ll play a three-game series at San Diego State, starting tomorrow at 6 p.m. All three games will stream on the Mountain West Network. The Spartans are coming off a sweep over Boise State.
