🔼  Treat For Teachers. Teachers deserve recognition every day! Join Spartan football for the Education Game on September 20 against Idaho. Educators, school districts, and students throughout the region will be honored. Plus, local high school bands will join the San José State Marching Band for a halftime performance! 🔼 Senior Celebration. Spartan baseball came up short last night, falling to Nevada 3-2. Jake McCoy hit a clutch two-RBI triple in the first to get the Spartans on the board. Win Scott recorded three strikeouts in 5.1 innings on the mound. The focus shifts to the remainder of the weekend because we have a fun one ahead! The series will continue tonight at 6:05 p.m. The Spartans will honor eight seniors tomorrow before first pitch at 1:05 p.m.

🔼 West’s Best. Spartan softball junior Ahmiya Noriega earned NFCA All-Region West Third Team honors! She led the conference with 10 triples while batting .352 this season. Her 10 triples also tied for first in the country and matched the second-highest single-season total in Spartan history.

🔼 Behind The Lens. San José State Athletics has earned finalist honors in three separate categories in the SVG College Sports Media Awards! Men’s basketball’s win over New Mexico in January is a finalist for Outstanding Live Game Production. This highlight reel after football’s road win at Oregon State is up for Outstanding Cinematic Recap. This post celebrating Nick Nash’s season is a finalist for Outstanding Social Media Video!
