⚔️ And more!

⏱️ COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 3️⃣0️⃣ DAYS

That’s right, we are just 3️⃣0️⃣ days away from the return of Spartan football!

Did you know that the first-ever All-American in San Jose State football history came in 193️⃣0️⃣?

That’s right, fullback Jack Wool earned that distinction when he was named an Honorable Mention honoree.

Wool was quite an athlete for the Spartans. He was a four-sport San Jose State letterwinner and would go on to become the 1932 Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) national champion in the pole vault clearing 13-feet-4.5 inches.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Eyes On Us. With preseason camp set to get underway this week, the Spartans will hit the field with eyes on them.

This week, a trio of SJSU standouts earned spots on national watch lists.

Pollard also earned a spot on the Bronko Nagurski Trophy Watch List, given to the nation’s top defensive player.

🔼 Flame Thrower. The Spartan football squad isn’t the only one drawing eyes this summer.

SJSU right-hander Tyler Albanese is turning heads in the prestigious Cape Cod League and this week was named the Cape League Pitcher of the Week.

Albanese threw four no-hit innings in relief for the Cotuit Kettleers to pick up a save against Falmouth. Over those four frames, he struck out six Commodores and only walked one.

On the summer, Albanese’s 0.95 WHIP and .189 batting average are both good for sixth best in the Cape League among qualified pitchers.

Get ready for an exciting day of golf at Cinnabar Hills Golf Course in support of Spartan student-athletes. Enjoy the unique opportunity to mingle with San Jose State athletes and coaches throughout the event. After your round, enjoy a cocktail hour followed by a delicious dinner, plus a raffle and silent auction packed with incredible items. Sign up today and be part of a day to remember!
