🔼 Let The Games Begin. When the whistle blows tomorrow night in Santa Clara, the 2025-26 SJSU athletic calendar will officially be underway.

The Spartans are set to make their debut under the leadership of Sonia Curvelo, who took over the reins of the program back in March after three successful seasons at Sam Houston State.

Kickoff against Santa Clara is set for 7:30 pm on ESPN+.

⚽️ The 2025 SJSU Women’s Soccer Schedule

🔼 Eyes On Him. The season may still be over a week away, but Angel Iniguez is already garnering attention for the SJSU men’s soccer program.

Earlier this week, Iniguez was named to the United Soccer Coaches' NCAA Division I Men’s Midfielders to Watch list for the 2025 season. The list represents the best players across the nation at their respective positions.

This is the second consecutive season Iniguez earned a spot on the list.

Last season Iniguez was named WAC Offensive Player of the Year, becoming the first Spartan ever to win a player of the year award. Iniguez recorded 10 goals and seven assists, leading the team to an appearance in the WAC Championship game last year. 

🔼 It’s Back. SJSU is proud to announce the season four premiere of The Charge, the Spartans’ exclusive all-access athletics show, which aired for the first time this past Monday night on NBC Sports Bay Area.

The first episode of the season offers a behind-the-scenes look at standout moments and new beginnings across SJSU Athletics. From championship glory to historic milestones, fans will get an inside look at Spartan excellence on and off the field.

🔼 Helping Hands. SJSU Athletics is partnering with the Kyle J. Taylor Foundation to offer free heart screenings to youth and young adults, ages 12–25, on Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Yosh Uchida Hall, One Washington Square, San Jose, CA 95192.

As students head back to school and prepare for another year of classes and sports, these two organizations are joining forces to ensure San José State University students are healthy and safe.

⏱️ COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 1️⃣6️⃣ DAYS

That’s right, we are just 1️⃣6️⃣ days away from the return of Spartan football!

Last season, Stockon native Naseri Danielson arrived on campus ready to get his feet wet.

The LB donning #1️⃣6️⃣ appeared in all 13 games for the Spartans, tallying 13 tackles on the season, including a career-best four against Washington State in September.

He earned Academic All-Mountain West honors last year and is primed for a breakout season in 2025.

That’s right the Spartan Golf Tournament presented by Provident Credit Union is just over two weeks away! Get ready for an exciting day of golf at Cinnabar Hills Golf Course in support of Spartan student-athletes.
