⏱️ COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 2️⃣1️⃣ DAYS

That’s right, we are just 2️⃣1️⃣ days away from the return of Spartan football!

An exciting new face will be wearing #2️⃣1️⃣ this fall for the Spartans in DB Charles Cox III.

Cox arrives at SJSU after two years of JUCO, including playing 10 games at Diablo Valley College last season, where he piled up 37 tackles, one sack, 6.5 TFLs and force a fumble to receive All-Conference First Team accolades.

🔼 Class Acts. The success for the Spartans aren’t just limited to athletic competition.

This week, SJSU had 43 players named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Teams for their respective sports, as announced by the organization.

The team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field of play and in the classroom.

To be recognized, student-athletes must have a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade-point average, be at least a sophomore academically, and participate in at least 50 percent of team competitions.

🔼 Eyes On Us. The season may still be a week away, but the accolades are already rolling in for the SJSU women’s soccer program.

Earlier this week, a trio of Spartans, Taejah Aitken, Paige Fry and Leilani White, were named to the 2025 Mountain West Women’s Soccer Watch List.

🔼 Howdy, Partner. A new chapter has begun for the SJSU water polo program as the Spartans officially announced they will be joining the Golden Coast Conference for the upcoming 2026-27 season.

The Spartans will join Azusa Pacific, California Baptist, UC-Davis, Concordia, Fresno State, Loyola Marymount, Pacific, San Diego State and Santa Clara as league partners.

That’s right the Spartan Golf Tournament presented by Provident Credit Union is just over two weeks away! Get ready for an exciting day of golf at Cinnabar Hills Golf Course in support of Spartan student-athletes.

Enjoy the unique opportunity to mingle with San Jose State athletes and coaches throughout the event. After your round, enjoy a cocktail hour followed by a delicious dinner, plus a raffle and silent auction packed with incredible items. Sign up today and be part of a day to remember!

Later this month, the SJSU men’s soccer team will return to the pitch to begin their 2025 season.
