📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Thrice As Nice. It was quite an introduction for freshman Sam Keightley, who announced his presence loudly on opening weekend for the 10th-ranked SJSU men’s water polo squad.

Keightley scored 12 goals across four matches as the Spartans picked up three victories at the Triton Invitational.

SJSU topped #15 UCSB on Friday (10-3) and swept Saturday’s action with La Verne (22-10) and #6 Long Beach State (14-12), before dropping their final match to #2 USC (20-13).

🔼 Three’s Company. For the first time since 2001, the SJSU men’s soccer squad sits at 3-0 after the Spartans rolled to a 2-0 road victory at CSU Bakersfield on Friday night.

Arnold Matshazi and Ruben Flores-Thomas each found the back of the net for SJSU, while the Spartan defense, anchored by goalkeeper Edgar Guerra who had three saves, secured the shutout despite 13 shots from the Roadrunners.

🔼 Spotlight For The Spartans. For the first time since 2006, the SJSU football team will be on ABC this upcoming weekend.

Announced over the weekend, the Spartans will head to Austin to take on top-ranked Texas for a 9 a.m. PDT kickoff on ABC.

This marks the third season in a row the Spartans have been on one of the big four networks, and the fourth season in a row being on ESPN or ABC.

🔼 Welcome To The Fam. With the season just a few months away, the SJSU men’s hoops program added a BIG addition to the squad.

Over the weekend, head coach Tim Miles announced that Eren Karakaya, a 6-10 center from Turkey, will join the Spartans for the 2025-26 season.

The SJSU men’s soccer squad is a perfect 3-0 for the first time since 2001.
