Good morning, SJSU Fam. While the SJSU men’s soccer squad is off to a 4-1 start this season, their biggest wins are happening off the pitch….
SJSU men’s soccer team visiting Castillero middle school, San Jose. Inspiring future college students, and hopefully future SJSU soccer players.

🔼 Teeing Off. Regina Roldan shot an even-par 72, and Moa Andersson remained in the top-15 to lead the San José State women’s golf team in the second round of the ANNIKA Intercollegiate presented by 3M.
The Spartans finished the day in eighth place, finishing after a weather delay extended the round.
🔼 Giving ‘Em The Boot. Playing in front of a national audience on ABC, San José State redshirt junior punter Trent Carrizosa made sure to make a name for himself.
For his performance against #6 Texas, Carrizosa earned a spot on the Ray Guy Award’s Ray’s Eight for week two.
He had an outstanding performance in Saturday’s matchup against the Longhorns, where he landed three punts inside the 20-yard line and delivered a 56-yard punt. So far this season, he holds a 46.7-yard average with four punts downed inside the 20.
🔼 A New Era. New beginnings are upon us for the SJSU beach volleyball program.
This week, the Spartans announced that they will be a member of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation for this upcoming spring 2026 season.
San José State is also a current MPSF member in women’s water polo, and a former member in men’s water polo, men’s soccer, and women’s gymnastics.
Joining San José State in the MPSF’s second beach volleyball season in 2026 will be California, Grand Canyon, Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, USC, and Washington, in addition to fellow newcomers Florida State, LSU, South Carolina, and Texas in a 12-team conference.
The MPSF Beach Volleyball Championship Tournament will again be held at Spiker Beach in Huntington Beach, Calif., April 22-24, 2026.

What is Trent Carrizosa’s longest career punt?
