🔼 Record Night. A record crowd of 2,489 fans cheered as Arnold Matshazi scored twice to lead the San José State men’s Soccer team in a 2-2 draw against No. 3 Stanford on Wednesday night at the Spartan Soccer Complex, presented by Habana Cuba.
Matshazi powered the Spartans’ attack with a brace, scoring in both halves to bring his season total to five goals. His first came in the 24th minute, finishing a service from Ruben Flores-Thomas to level the match at 1-1.
🔼 Put It In Reverse. For the second time this season, the SJSU women’s volleyball squad put things in reverse to pick up a victory.
The Spartans battled to a reverse sweep win on the road at San Francisco, taking down the Dons, 3-2 (23-25, 22-25, 25-23, 25-21, 15-7), on Wednesday night.
Morgan Graves and Lolo Fonua each had a season-high 19 kills to lead the attack, while Devon DeNecohea was the third Spartan in double-digit kills with a career-high 15.

Wednesday’s 2-2 draw with #3 Stanford gave the men’s soccer program its first result against a ranked opponent since 2021.
Who did that result come across back in 2021?
