🔼 Starting Strong. The SJSU men’s soccer team is off to one of its best starts in program history and junior Ruben Flores-Thomas has been a key cog to that success.

This week, the third-year standout was named the WAC Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career.

Flores-Thomas scored his first career goal and recorded an assist in the Spartans 2-0 shutout win over CSU Bakersfield last Friday.

The Spartans, who are 3-0 for the first time since 2001, look to continue their winning streak against San Francisco on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Spartan Soccer Complex. The game can be streamed on WAC International.

🔼 In The Lab. Set to play on ABC for the first time in nearly two decades, the SJSU football team is preparing to head to Austin to battle sixth-ranked Texas on Saturday.

On Tuesday, Coach Niumatalolo, Coach Odum and Coach Stutzman jumped behind the mics to talk about the challenge ahead.
