🔼 Three Of A Kind. Just two weeks into their 2025 season, the SJSU men’s water polo squad is already piling up the ranked wins.
This past weekend, the Spartans grabbed their third victory over a nationally-ranked opponent, taking down #10 UC Davis on Saturday, 11-7.
Samu Biros led the way with four goals on four shots for SJSU. Maro Tiozzo, Laszlo Szieben and Mateja Bosić each netted two goals, and Louis Fehrensen one.

🔼 Wasting No Time. Hope you weren’t late getting to Sunday’s SJSU men’s soccer game in Sacramento.
The Spartans got to work quickly against Sacramento State with both Cameron Cook and Daniel Fregoso Bautista scoring in the opening 10 minutes of play to lead SJSU to a 2-0 road victory.
Defensively, the Spartans were organized and disciplined, limiting Sacramento State to just five total shots, none of which were on target. Goalkeeper Edgar Guerra earned the win, recording his third clean sheet of the season.
🔼 Code Red. Naima Foster led the SJSU volleyball squad to a second straight victory as the Spartans went 2-1 at the OUTRIGGER Invitational in Honolulu over the weekend.
Foster tallied a season-high 10 kills, along with nine digs to lead the way as SJSU reverse swept the Red Storm of St. John’s on Saturday, 3-2 (22-25, 11-25, 25-21, 25-15, 15-4).
After dropping the first two sets to the Red Storm, the Spartans battled back to win the final three sets. The team trailed 15-11 in set three before slowly chipping away at the deficit, taking the lead for good at 21-20 on a St. John’s hitting error.
🔼 Turning Heads. Former SJSU standout Beau Leroux is turning heads in the soccer world.
With three goals and two assists for the San Jose Earthquake, he is making headlines as one of the best young players in the MLS and could be on the cusp of getting a call-up to the US Men’s National Team.

Tonight, when Monday Night Football kicks off in Chicago, it will begin the sixth NFL season for SJSU alum Josh Oliver.
How many career receiving TDs does Oliver have during his pro career?
Got a guess?
